Data Handling

How PPC collects, uses, and protects data through its website and client engagements.

Last updated: March 2026

This page describes the data handling practices of Pierce Power Consulting (PPC) as they relate to the public website (piercepowerconsulting.com) and to consulting engagement activities. It is intended to be clear and useful for vendor risk reviewers, clients, and prospective partners.

Website — Contact Form

The website contact form collects the following fields when submitted voluntarily by a visitor:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Company or organization name (optional)
  • Service of interest (optional, selected from a drop-down)
  • Message content

This information is used solely to respond to the inquiry. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Form submissions are processed by Formspree (formspree.io) and delivered to PPC's business email inbox (info@PiercePowerConsulting.com). Formspree acts as a form-processing intermediary; submitted data is routed to PPC's email and is not stored in any PPC-controlled external database or CRM system. Formspree's data handling is governed by the Formspree Privacy Policy.

Visitors can also reach PPC directly by email at any time.

Website — Browsing Data

The website does not deploy analytics scripts, advertising pixels, session-recording tools, or any mechanism that collects visitor browsing data. No cookies are set by the website itself. GitHub Pages, the hosting platform, may collect standard server-side access logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, requested URL) as part of its infrastructure operations; these logs are governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Third-Party Services

The website loads resources from the following third parties:

  • Formspree (formspree.io) — Processes contact form submissions and delivers them to PPC's email inbox. Formspree receives the data entered in the contact form (name, email, company, service selection, message). Governed by the Formspree Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — Provides the Inter typeface used for typography. A browser request to Google's servers is made when loading any page. Google Fonts is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No PPC visitor data is shared with Google beyond the standard HTTP request (IP address, browser).
  • GitHub Pages (github.io infrastructure) — The hosting platform for the website. Governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.

No analytics providers, advertising networks, marketing automation platforms, or other data brokers are used.

Client Engagement Data

During consulting engagements, PPC may receive or access client-provided data (network diagrams, system configurations, project documentation, operational data) as necessary to perform contracted services. This data is:

  • Used exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the engagement.
  • Not shared with other clients or third parties without explicit written authorization from the client.
  • Handled in accordance with any confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements in place for the engagement.
  • Retained only as long as necessary to complete the engagement and meet any legally required record-keeping obligations.

PPC does not collect, process, or store NERC CIP-classified information, control-system credentials, or other highly sensitive operational-technology data through its public website. Any such information shared during an engagement is handled under the terms of a signed agreement.

Data Retention — Website Inquiries

Email correspondence resulting from contact form submissions or direct email inquiries is retained in PPC's business email system for the duration of the business relationship and a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes. Individuals may request deletion of their information by emailing info@PiercePowerConsulting.com.
